I have been playing hockey since I was 11 years old. Before the age of 11 I never had a passion as strong as my passion for hockey. No other sport has brought out as much drive and devotion as hockey has. Shortly after joining my first club ice hockey team I discovered my strengths and worked on being able to be a true backbone for my team. After finding success in my hard work, I realized playing ice hockey at the inter-collegiate level was one of my deepest and most desired aspirations.
I am a fighter. I will never give up on puck battle. I skate both fast and strong and l refuse to not use those skills on both my back check and fore check. I try to lead by example in practice and in games. I am very good at listening to my coaches suggestions and orders because I am always looking to improve. I push the hardest I can in practice so I can see it pay off in games. I hope to be the hardest working and most driven recruit you will come across.
I keep up with hockey year round. Whether it's stick handling in my garage, training camps, going to open hockey at my local rink or playing on a spring league team. As well as hockey I play lacrosse goalie for my High School, both Varsity and JV. Playing lacrosse has kept me in shape during the spring and kept me working on my hand, stick and eye coordination. I also partake in weight lifting and running to maintain endurance and strength during and after the season.
In school, I pride myself on my work ethic and I always make sure I submit work I am proud of. I am part of Key Club, which is a volunteering group as well as serving time for my High School's Mini-Thon club, which helps raise money for pediatric cancer. I have been awarded Honor roll many times as well as a French Excellence award and a Team MVP award.
I dream to find a college that matches my intensity and passion for the sport as well as my academic goals. I have a completely open mind to all colleges and just truly hope to find a perfect fit for me at the highest level of competition possible. I wish to be an example for young female hockey players and hope to make my teammates, coaches and parents proud.
