My name is Mikayla Dykman. I currently play for the Northern Cyclones Womens Junior AAA team.
My primary position is forward, usually playing left or right wing. I train off ice daily and practice at least 5-6 times a week. I joined the Northern Cyclones team in 2017, playing as a forward.
I joined the U19 Utah Lady Grizzlies as a 14 year old and was the youngest player on the team. I pushed myself to improve and develop by practicing with 16u Tier ll boys. I was the second leading point producer on my team with 51 points, 24 goals and 27 assists.
I have a 4.0 GPA and I look to further improve my education while playing hockey. I am a very dedicated and hard working student who takes my education seriously. I am enrolled in all honors courses and realize my education is the top priority. I would also like to be able to commit to a college on an academic or athletic scholarship.
I am a supportive teammate who is easy to get along with. My attitude is always positive and I strive to help my team stay focused on the game.
The Utah Lady Grizzlies team advanced from the Rocky Mountain Districts to Nationals where we lost three one goal games. One of these teams then went on the to win the National Championship.
I was also chosen to attend the 2017 & 2016 Girls Multi District Camp in Colorado Springs with some of the highest evaluation numbers of all girls in my age group.
My ultimate goal is to complete a university education while playing in a quality NCAA women’s hockey program. I look forward to committing to a university on an academic or athletic scholarship.
