Khara Brettell '19 Recruiting Profile

I am fully immersed in my education, I challenge myself everyday by taking honors and AP courses. I'm also secretary of my class, I participate in various clubs, and I volunteer outside of school. I am a high honor role student and I try my best on even the simplest of assignments.  My education is always my first priority, but hockey will always be my second. I am always a great asset to any team. I am extremely coachable, in fact, being coached is one of my favorite things. I pride myself on always giving 100%, and I try to push myself harder than anyone who is on the ice with me. I'm also a great team player, and I strive to help everyone on my team improve with me. Every decision I make is about improving my game and becoming the best that I can be, which is my ultimate goal. Hockey has turned me into the person I am today. It has taught me that practice makes progress and how to prioritize my efforts. After a game, I'm only satisfied if I know that I gave it my all.  Playing college hockey is something I've wanted to do since my first time stepping on the ice, and I hope you will help me to achieve that goal.
