Personal Statement
My love of sports has been evident throughout my entire life. Whether skiing with my family, swimming at the club level or playing my first season of field hockey freshman year, I have always pushed myself to be the best athlete possible. Growing up in Centennial, the opportunities to participate in sports were endless. After several seasons of little league soccer, and countless summers spent on the neighborhood swim team, and club swimming year round, I discovered my passion for lacrosse. I picked up a stick for the first time during 6th grade and instantly felt a connection. Ever since that moment, I have continued to up my game, and make the most of every opportunity presented. Throughout my years in the game, I have learned that every moment is a chance to improve, and everything that my coaches say is a valuable lesson and something that can raise the level of my play.
After participating in Varsity Field Hockey, Varsity Swimming, and Varsity Lacrosse my freshman year, I found that my coachability brought me the most success. I take everything that my coaches say to heart, and I work hard to apply those tips and teachings into my game. This allows me to up my level, and perform to succeed during practice and games. Throughout my 5 years of experience playing lacrosse, I have worked hard to become the player that my coaches want me to be. After my first year of high school lacrosse, I found that I want to continue my love for the game to the collegiate level, at a school that will allow me to perform my best as both an athlete, and academically.
