Personal Statement
I began playing lacrosse in the fifth grade on a small team from Colorado called Mustangs Sports Club. From there my passion for the game grew. I also began playing for a small club team named DG. After the club shut down I moved to Fuzion Lacrosse under the coaching of Danny Cisneros. After two season with Fuzion I began playing for 3d Colorado. Those years under all of the club coaches have really improved my game and allowed me to become the best player I could be. My freshman year of high school in 2016 allowed me to play with an amazing team of girls and coaches. Sophmore year was a tough year for my team but one that was vital in the way I play my game. We got a new high school coach, Melynda Brown, and I became more invested in lacrosse. It was an extremely tough transition but Coach Brown made the 2017 season one of the best of my life. She taught me a completely new mindset and gave me the confidence to step up my game and start varsity in a position, midfield , that I had never played before. She also helped me grow as a student and encouraged me to get the best grades I could possibly get. Since then I have only been improving academically and on the lacrosse field. I have brought my GPA up and have truly stepped up my lacrosse skills. Each year of playing lacrosse has allowed me to be the person I am today and I hope to continue to improving academically and on the lacrosse field.
