Personal Statement
All my life I’ve always done things to satisfy others and make them happy. Including my parents. I know everything they want me to do is for my best interest to become the best person I could be. I’ve always been doing activities outside of my academics from playing instruments, modeling, and soccer. I never truly liked any of them. It wasn’t till my first year of high school where I finally found something that I grew a passion for and put my all into. Lacrosse was the first thing I have ever played and done for my own personal benefit.
I’ve have always been academically driven. The IB program I’m enrolled in is probably the most rigorous course I’ve taken in all my years of schools. I feel like this program has been preparing me academically for college. I feel ready to take on any class or course. Hardships I’ve been through have affected my mindset and the way I think of life. It gives me a drive to strive to be the best person I am in all areas. This energy that I have flows onto the field. When I play, all negative feelings and thoughts disappear. Playing on a field is where I feel joy and put all my focus in one.
This passion I’ve developed has encouraged me to pursue and go onto the next level of collegiate lacrosse. Each time I play I aim for improvement and try to learn something new. I seek constructive criticism to better my skill and play.
