Personal Statement

My journey as a lacrosse goalie started in seventh grade when my coach, Amy Elliott, suggested that I might be a good goalkeeper. Little did I know that I would adore the position and want to continue playing it through high school! I love being a goalie because of the energy, competitiveness, and the thrill of making a critical save. It was a perfect fit, and I haven’t looked back since. It was amazing to win the Kentucky state title in May 2018 as a freshman, but since then I have learned that there is a lot more to the sport. After a tough loss to a rival in the 2019 season and losing the 2020 season altogether, I was so blessed to be able to play with my teammates for one more season and take back the State Title in 2021.
