I have been playing lacrosse since the second grade. The town that I live is didn't have a program for kids in second grade so I went to the next town over to learn the fundamentals of the game. In third grade, I began to bond with my teammates who have stayed with me up to high school. I felt a strong connection to the game and have always strived to improve myself and my teammates. I found my place on the team very quickly as a defensemen, supporting from behind, defending the goal. Any team I've been a part of, I have felt a bond with all the players and have maintained these friendships outside the game of lacrosse. I hope to be a part of a college team just like that.
I am a hard worker in lacrosse and in my academics. In school, I try to challenge myself by getting good grades in hard classes as well as maintaining those grades throughout the year. I strive to keep my GPA at a 4.0. On the field I help my teammates, own up to my mistakes , and encourage others. As a defensemen it is important to keeping talking to your teammates and move together as one body in order to stop the other team. On the field I try to always be talking whether its encouraging the attacking side or directing the defense. I am a coachable player and will always try to follow directions whether its from the coach or from a teammate. On my high school team I and seen as the lead defensemen and take that leadership role very seriously, I hope to bring that role to any college team.
