Personal Statement
I've been playing lacrosse for ten years. For the last four years I have exclusively been a goalie. The other six years I played some goalie and all other field positions for my home town team. I am a two year varsity starter and was co-Rookie of the Year for the BHS Varsity my freshman year. We were Northeastern Conference champions in 2015 for the first time in 11 years.I am cerebral as well as an athletic player from a lacrosse family. I am dedicated to training and to furthering my education in lacrosse during the off season. I have recently attended Peak Goalie School at Endicott College. I also volunteer as a coach for the youth team that I was a part of for many years. I am constantly working on my stick and agility skills as well as strength and endurance training. I am a confident goalie who wants to make the save and clear with the game on the line. Although I am right hand dominant, I learned to play the game left handed. I am equally comfortable with seeing and stopping shots on either side. Academically, I challenge myself with honors courses and subjects that are outside of my comfort zone each year. My love for sharing victory with my teammates is only surpassed by my love of the game.
