My name is Nicole Bausha and I have always enjoyed sports for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I was a three season athlete, and that continued into my high school career. I like to see where my hard work can take me and I push myself to achieve my personal and team goals. That attitude also translates to the classroom where I am focused on learning and growing. In the middle of my freshman year when I attended my local public high school, I decided I wanted more both academically and athletically. I made the courageous decision to apply to the private boarding school Northfield Mount Hermon (NMH). Fortunately, I was accepted and I was very excited to begin my sophomore year there in the fall. During my sophomore year at NMH I challenged myself in the classroom and continued to work hard. I competed at the varsity level for NMH’s cross country team and basketball team. I take pleasure in knowing that I am consistently recognized by my teachers and coaches for my work ethic and ability to lead when necessary, while working collaboratively rather than competitively with my peers. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to play with the lacrosse team because of Covid-19, but I was looking forward to stepping on that field my entire sophomore year. I am primarily a defender, and at the high school level I’m also a competent midfielder and am able to maintain the speed and intensity required of the midfield line. I want my college experience to be exciting and challenging. I need to be at a school where I can continue to flourish academically and compete athletically.
