Personal Statement
I aspire to be a great lacrosse player at the collegiate level and then one day a member on the Women’s US Lacrosse Team. I strive to be the best player I can, always growing in the various aspects of the sport and being a reliable teammate on and off the field. As a lacrosse player I am energetic but self-controlled, I am a leader but also know when to follow, I am a team-player knowing when to pass to my teammates but I also have the confidence to go for goal, and I am a versatile player on the field and take coaching directions seriously. I'm often told my desire, attitude and discipline for the game help me stand out from others.
Although my senior year was cut short due to COVID-19, I just finished my fifth year as a varsity athlete on my lacrosse team as I was invited to play on my high school team my 8th grade year and since then my dedication to the game has grown and this can be shown through being awarded US Lacrosse All-American my junior year, named to the Nevada All-State Team, earning All League First Team as well as All League All Academic, and being named Offensive MVP my sophomore year and Team MVP my junior year. I was also invited to join the US AIST High School Lacrosse Team traveling to Europe this summer. As a student athlete and Honor Society Inductee, I take academics very seriously which has led me to hone my time-management skills as I balance my full-load of Honors/AP classes, athletics, youth lacrosse officiating, community service activities and other outside organizations. This is why I believe I would be an asset to any college lacrosse team.
