My goals and aspirations are a work in progress. Thus far I enjoy art history and cultural studies. I do know that I would like to attend a strong academic college and play a high level of lacrosse as well. My differentiating characteristics from other student athletes are that I have played both tennis and lacrosse at competitive levels while attending a rigorous Ivy League Preparatory school.
I started playing lacrosse when I was in first grade. My position is attack. I recently played my first season of varsity lacrosse at Horace Mann. I was the only freshman starter on the team and lead the team with 54 total points; 34 goals and 20 assists. I also was named to the 2nd Team All-Ivy Conference. As of Fall 2019 I play club for Sound Lacrosse 2022, my jersey number is 15. During 2019 and 2018 I played club for Metro Lacrosse 2022 and Snipers Elite 2022 respectively. Throughout elementary and middle school I played lacrosse for Docs NYC. I also played for the Horace Mann middle school lacrosse team and during my 3 middle school years I played club for 3d Tristate 2022. I have been attending showcases, clinics and camps year round. I am confident in my stick skills and believe that my strong footwork and hand eye coordination from tennis has helped me in lacrosse.
When I was 10 years old I accepted an invitation from the John McEnroe Academy's rising star program. I played USTA junior tennis matches for 12 and under, and by the time I was 12, I was playing 14 and under. In the Fall of 2018 and 2019 I played for the Horace Mann School JV tennis team. I have started doubles since my freshman year, I am undefeated and the JV team has yet to lose a match. Horace Mann has a strong tennis tradition as the Girl's Varsity won the 2018 New York State Independent School Championship in both singles and doubles.
I attend the Horace Mann School in the Bronx, NYC. I have gone to Horace Mann since I was 3 years old. My school is extremely rigorous academically and a nationally, top ranked independent school. Attending a challenging school and playing two competitive sports, has taught me good time management between sports, academics and my social life. I have also learned to not just work hard, but diligently and effectively. In addition I volunteer at Harlem Lacrosse. I assist Brittain Altomare, former Hofstra all-time leading scorer and All-American at attack, teaching lacrosse to inner city students. I also receive one on one training from Britt throughout the year. Harlem Lacrosse's amazing program provides inner city students with a unique opportunity and exposure to lacrosse they normally would not receive.
