I have been playing lacrosse since I was 9 years old. I know that playing in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity that could change my whole life.
I have excellent stick skills using both hands; I see the field well and always hustle. The ability to use my left hand when playing lacrosse changes the whole game for me. My dodges are much more effective, transitions are much easier and successful, and I find much more value while driving to the goal. I am a vocal team leader and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working players and one of the hardest working recruits you’ll find. I lead the team in multiple stat categories like: goals, assists, ground balls, draw controls, take aways, and caused turnovers for opposing teams. I specialized in shooting as I had 82 goals this past season, as a sophomore, and received many conference awards like 1st team all conference, and conference player of the year, but also received a 1st team all city of Cincinnati award. Additionally, I set a school record for most points in a single season, 97, more than doubling the previous record, set in 2005. I strived on the field due to my hard work during and outside of practice, and my eagerness to learn and adapt to new skills. I have worked with personal shooting coaches, attended camps (University of Cincinnati Lacrosse camp), and attended clinics (Taylor Cummings draw clinic, Taylor Cummings shooting and skills clinic).
In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a high GPA. I also spend my free time every Saturday morning volunteering at a Youth Collaborative program for underprivileged intercity kids of Cincinnati. This volunteer program is a great hobby of mine because the program, also called "Saturday Hoops” combines 2 of the things I love: being active, and playing with kids.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and in lacrosse. I am receptive to most options, but I am also apt to staying a reasonable distance from my hometown. I want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible, with the greatest education possible. I hope to become a great role model to all my peers and make my parents and three big brothers proud.
