In college, my goal is to meet new people. I thoroughly enjoy connecting and communicating with others. I also want to learn new skills and gain knowledge. I believe strongly in empiricism, which is the idea that all knowledge is obtained through experience. I want to experience as much as I can in my life. I plan on doing well in college. Working hard, earning good grades, graduating, and then moving on to an occupation that I love.
Lacrosse has been my favorite sport since the first day I started playing. I played a lot of other sports alongside lacrosse including field hockey, basketball, tennis, and cross country. However, lacrosse still always has held a special place in my heart. My freshman year spring season will be my seventh year playing lacrosse. I have a lot of experience, but not as much as I'd like to have. I have attended camps, clinics, clubs, and have been playing for The Perkiomen School for the regular season since sixth grade.
One reason why I am a good candidate for this team is because I am a natural leader amongst people my age, younger than me, and even older than me. I work hard and always play to the best of my ability in practices, games, and on my own. Lacrosse is a sport that I dedicate a lot of my free time to. I am not afraid to stand out in a group of people. I will never be shy or hold back when it comes to showing my talents in this sport. I set very high expectations for myself in all aspects, athletically and academically especially. I work hard to meet those expectations, which is another reason why I am a good candidate.
As a person, people describe me as funny, relaxed, fearless, strong-willed, and smart. In athletics I'm seen as fast, competitive, intimidating, strong, and determined. I put all of my energy and strength into every regulated lacrosse game that I play. I have exercise-induced asthma, which can sometimes restrict me from showing my full potential on the field, but it has been something I have been working hard to overcome for a long time and will not stop until I can fully control my breathing even in difficult situations and be able to prove my capability to my coaches, teammates, and every person watching as I play. In academics, I do exceptionally well. I was granted a full tuition academic scholarship to The Perkiomen School from sixth grade until I graduate. Most subjects, especially English and world languages, come easily to me. This is my third year taking German at The Perkiomen School and I just started taking level one Spanish as well. I plan on continuing both of these courses through the rest of high school. I'm placed in an honors geometry course, and plan on taking more honors courses and already thinking about AP courses for next year.
I am very determined and diligent in everything I do. I want to play lacrosse in college because I love the sport and know I will succeed if I am recruited to a good program.
