Hello I am Zoë Holmes, this is my third year as a rower at Pacific Rowing Club, and as a student at Lick-Wilmerding High School in San Francisco California. I started rowing in 7th grade at Nereid Boat Club in New Jersey and immediately fell in love with the sport. It combines several experiences that I value - a team environment, an intense workout, and being outdoors/on the water. Rowing has also provided me with structure and a necessary outlet to the demands of attending an academically rigorous school. Also, I love competing, having rowed as a starboard in a four at Nationals (2022) and The Head of the Charles (2021) were the highlights for last season. This season, I stroked the eight at The Head of the Charles having just switched from a starboard to a port 6 weeks earlier. For all these reasons and more, I am committed to continuing my rowing career in college. I have no doubt that rowing will remain an important contributor to my growth inside and outside of the boathouse.
