Hi coaches!
I attend Notre Dame Preparatory Class of '26. I have been on our school's crew team for 2 years participating in both fall and spring rowing. I love to both row and cox! This year, we were low on coxswains, so I volunteered to cox. My motto is you have to be flexible! In regattas, I don't care where I'm placed in the boat, as long as I am on the water! I coxed Novice 4 in 3 regattas. For rowing, my favorite spot in 8's is bow 4, but I have rowed in other positions. I will return to the crew team in my junior and senior year.
I have also been sailing for 10 years and skipper 420's and FJs. We just started a Sailing Team at NDP to participate in fall and spring high school regattas. We went to the Catholic Girls Schools Sailing Regatta in New Orleans this year and our team placed 5th overall! Previous years, I did fall, spring and summer racing at Baltimore County Sailing Center. In the winter, I love to ski. My parents taught me when I was 3 years old and I have been skiing ever since.
At NDP, I have a 3.7 GPA. In college, I hope to pursue a major in Engineering or Architecture. I am a member of the National Art Honor Society and ACE Team (Architecture, Construction, and Engineering). I volunteer with Friends in Faith, Special Olympics and Habitat for Humanity. Summers I work as a CIT at our sailing center teaching little kids how to sail. I also lifeguard at a local pool.
My ultimate goal for the college I attend, is to have a good balance of my life in the classroom and on the water. I have been challenged at Notre Dame Prep, both academically and on the water, and want to continue that same path in college.
Thank you for your time!
