I was 10 when I first heard about rowing, 13 when I touched my first oar, and 14 when I made the simple decision to commit to rowing throughout my highschool career.
I have always looked up to older girls, especially the girls on my crew team, and the first time my upperclassmen teammate informed me about her process to row in college was when I knew, I too wanted to row in college; not just because she rowed in college but because the culture of crew teams are incredibly unalike any other sports team. Having the opportunity to learn about my dream studies whilst training on the water with teammates who are practically family is my goal.
I enjoy embodying a team leader to prove how things can get done with the right people, I am the co-founder of the Empowering Women's club at my school, and I love being in tact with my schools strict academics.
