Personal Statement

My ultimate goal for life, college and rowing is to be the best person I can be and strive to constantly improve myself and the people around me. I have rowed from 5th grade until the spring of 10th grade. That spring, I switched to coxing because of a head injury and because I love it. I’m grateful that I have the opportunity to cox after I have experienced rowing for a long time because I have gained a better understanding of the sport, the boat, and the experience that each rower has within the boat.

I strive to be strong and hardworking not only in rowing but in academics too. I work very hard to put my best towards my academics and to be the best I can be. I have maintained a solid GPA so far in my high school career and I plan on improving it in the coming years. I am excited to accept the challenge of getting excellent grades and pushing myself and my future teammates in whatever college I end up going to.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
