Kya Lindsey '20 Recruiting Profile

Having rowed for all four years in high school, I have gained valuable life skills and experience working with a team. Over the time that I have participated in crew, I have come to love working with a team of individuals working for a common cause. I have learned to be a dedicated and self-motivated individual so that I can be the very best for my team. These skills have helped me not only as a team captain, but also as a student. Being able to apply the skills that I have learned from rowing to my academic assignments as well as other endeavors has helped me to grow my self worth. After having rowed for four years I have learned that there are always improvements that can be made, I enjoy being able to further develop my rowing skills and am always open to learning new things. I love the hard work and commitment that comes with being on an athletic team, and I look forward to being able to continue this in my future.
