I have only been rowing for 9 months (first time ever on the water was late march 2022) and just completed my first Fall rowing season. I finished my first Spring season of rowing for the Cleveland Foundry Juniors in June 2022, and my WU174X team qualified for Nationals in Sarasota Florida. At Nationals we placed 2nd in the D finals, and 22nd overall in addition to meeting many personal and team goals. It was an incredible opportunity and bonding experience for myself and my teammates that we will never forget! Prior to my first Spring season, my first ever 2k erg was at the CRASH-B's on 2/13/22 with a time of 8:13 and I have since cut that time down to a PR of 7:36.9. My 5K erg time is 20:31:1 and I look forward to improving on that time throughout the winter.
I am currently a Junior in High School and I have been a member of multiple sports and clubs. I was a member of the varsity cross country team for my Freshman and Sophomore seasons that made it to the DI State Championship meet both of those years. While on that team, I earned Academic All-Ohio in 2021 and Great Lakes Conference Honorable Mention in 2021 with a 5K PR of 20:27. I also played JV soccer during the same seasons and served as a swing player on the varsity team. In the Winter, I participate on the girls basketball team while also being an avid weight lifter. I enjoy working out and improving my strength, speed and stamina. I have earned awards in various sports and clubs including "Leadership Award" for travel soccer and Science Olympiad, "Most Improved" for cross country and basketball, and "Most Coachable" for basketball.
I am a very serious student and have a weighted GPA of 4.675 and am a member of the National Honor Society while taking all AP and honors classes. I serve as a class representative for the WHS French Club (I traveled to France, Switzerland and Germany this July with the club which was an incredible experience!) and I am very involved with the WHS Science Olympiad. While being a member of SO, I have earned state honors (6th place) and regional honors for the past several years. I have also played cello for 7 years and am a member of the WHS orchestra which I feel helps me be a well-rounded student-athlete. In addition to school activities, I have been a S.P.E.A.K. coalition member, a member of the WHS Environmental Club, and a Girl Scout for the past 10 years earning my bronze, silver and currently working towards my gold award. I also work at a local family-owned farm market in the Summer and Fall and volunteer at the Cleveland Food bank throughout the year.
