My high school soccer career started in the 8th grade, when I first made the high school varsity team. My freshman year I played on the varsity soccer and junior varsity basketball team, but eventually I had to choose a sport. Basketball was interfering with soccer, which is the sport I had the most commitment to play.
One of my biggest accomplishments of my high school soccer career was winning the state championship playing on my club team two years in a row. Another important accomplishment on my club team was being the first team from Huntsville to advance to the quarterfinals at the Regional Youth Soccer tournament in North Carolina. However, I think I grew the most as a player when my team went to Regionals the following year and didn’t play as good as we had hoped. It showed me that every game is a battle and to come out like it is the most important game of your life.
Throughout my high school years, the various teams on which I have played taught me a lot about commitment, work-ethic, and teamwork. I hope to find a school that suits the academic options I want for the future and also suits what type program for which I would like to play. As a student athlete, I believe I could make an impact on your team.
