Marina Broskovich '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi Coach,

My name is Marina Broskovich, and I am very excited to be considered by you and your team in the next steps of my soccer advancement. 

I have been playing soccer since the age of 4, first at Tier 2, then at Tier 1 and finally now at the Elite AYSL level in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.  The Alberta Youth Soccer League is an elite competitive league with 7 teams in Alberta.  I have also played on my Varsity High-School team since my freshman year, where we place second in our region in 2021 and were region champions in 2022.   Soccer is a big part of my life and my favorite sport.  I would like to continue my athletic journey with soccer into post-secondary with a program that places emphasis on both athletic performance and academic excellence.  

As a defensive player I have developed a strong ability to read the game, anticipate opponent moves, and make tackles and interceptions.  My focus and determination allow me to effectively disrupt the opponents attack and regain possession for my team.  I understand the importance of maintaining defensive shape and organization.  I communicate effectively with my teammates, providing support and ensuring that our defensive line remains cohesive and impenetrable.   I am strong in one-on-one situations and have the endurance to consistently perform at my best throughout the entire match.  

As a dual Canadian-American citizen, I will be looking to establish in-state residency wherever my student athletic career takes me.   I aspire to play in a established Division I - III program in the United States.
