Making the varsity team at my high school, and starting every game was the highlight of my soccer career. I started playing soccer when I was four years old, playing recreational ball until I turned nine. In club soccer, I have been a captain almost every year; moreover, I know how to be a good leader. Through playing soccer I found my true self. I used to be really shy, but through playing soccer, and later becoming a captain, I eventually overcame my shyness. I also, found out how to challenge myself to be the best I can be through my actions and words.
My goals in high school are to maintain higher than a 3.8 GPA, and get accepted into the college of my choice. Meeting these goals are realistic for me because I value my academics just as much as athletics. To get where I am today there are a few obstacles I have had to overcome. One major one is I had to realize that what one coach thinks is not what defines me as a person. I am an outgoing person, and the reason I value soccer as such a big part of my life is the team aspect of it. I love being part of the team because it lets me interact and have fun while still playing the sport we all love together.
