Personal Statement
I play wherever my team needs me, which differs greatly from team to team and game to game. Working as a team requires sacrifices. Sometimes that's your body when you make the extra runs to draw defenders, or playing a position that you don't care for. I do not hesitate to make these sacrifices. This high school season, I was asked to step up as the varsity goal keeper. Even though it's an incredibly frustrating role, and is a whole different mental game then striker, I have been working to get better, and have been using my knowledge of the game to organize my defense and my experience shooting against excellent keepers to know where to position myself. At the end of the day, the college that I commit to, I'm committing to doing what’s best for the program and the team. Not just to be their 4 or 1, I'm committing to being a soccer player, the best soccer player and teammate I can be.
