My name is Ashley Araiza. I excel in academics,I am a great representation of a leader. I have the passion and ambition to excel at soccer, and am able to perform at the best of my ability under pressure.I am a diverse player, I can play any defensive position and goalie. The difference between other players and I are that I am a 2 sport student-athlete and my drive of never giving up, my work ethic, and being a team player adds to being ready to play at a college level. My freshman year ,our season did not have the best results so I set myself a goal for sophomore year as I was a captain and told my team we have to win more games than the season before. We worked hard and accomplished the goal and also won 3rd place at a tournament. The tournament taught me to always expect the unexpected, I was told to play goalie throughout the tournament games and I played the best three games as a goalie all season. Junior year I was honored to be the Varsity Captain we placed 4th at a tournament and fell short to make it to playoffs. I believe not only do I have the skills to compete at a college team but also I have the dedication, character, and leadership to create an impact on your program.
