Personal Statement
Hey, my name is Laura Whipple if you couldn't tell by my profile. I am a 16 year old attending Page High School and playing for their Girl's Soccer Team. I have been playing varsity since my freshman year (I'm a junior this year) as center back. I am not sure the exact age I've started playing just because soccer has been heavily involved in my life due to my siblings and father playing it while growing up as well. I've originally loved playing mid-field but as I got older I realized that the defense was more fit for me. I've continued playing soccer throughout middle school while balancing cross country and pow wow dancing at the same time. Which you can expect it was quite a busy time for me. But once I've reached high school I decided to just play soccer and focus on improvement. During my time playing at a high school level, my coaches put me as center back. They believe I can be a strong leader inside and outside the game and as well trust me enough to understand the game and be able to be the voice of the field other than the goalie of course. But as time goes on I am excited for what new opportunities they will be and see what life has ahead of me.
