Personal Statement
I recently graduated from Xavier College Preparatory in Phoenix, Arizona with a 4.2 GPA.
Throughout my school years, I have been a multi-sport athlete, focused mainly on club soccer and track and field. During the Covid pandemic, club soccer was shut down and the track season was canceled. I started going to the driving range at Arizona Country Club with my sister as golf was one of the only activities we were able to participate in during the lockdown. After only a few range sessions and some initial success, the golf bug bit, and I fell in love with the sport. I started playing daily and have challenged myself to become a better player every day since. Because of my late start, I was never able to compete on the golf team in high school. However, I have started playing in tournaments and love the feel of competitive golf. My most recent event was the Thunderbird Junior Classic where I placed 1st shooting 78-75 over the two days. I have signed up for many additional events in July in hopes of finding a golf opportunity that is the right fit both academically and athletically.
