Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Mikenzie Claire Kulish, and I will be a Junior at Show Low High School for the 2022-23 school year. My passion is soccer. and I have been playing since 2009 on AYSO teams, as well as our year-round club team, WMFC since 2015. As a freshman in 2020, I earned a starting forward position on the Girls Varsity Team, and also earned a spot on the 2nd All-Region Team. I was also named Offensive Player of the Year for my team. As a sophomore in 2021, I continued to play on the SLHS Girls Varsity team and was named as Offensive Player of the Team for the second year in a row. I was named the All-Region 1st Team and also named to 2nd All-Conference Team. I also made the Arizona ODP team during that year. I intend to play for the Girls Varsity team again this year, and it is my goal to increase my stats and help my team make it to state again this year. In addition to soccer, I also played on the Varsity Girls basketball team last year, and plan to play again this year. I also participated in Track & Field, and earned over 10 medals and qualified for the state competition. I value the importance of being studious, and maintaining a high gpa, and am also enrolled in Honors Classes in addition to serving my community as a volunteer referee for the AYSO soccer program. My aspiration is to play soccer at the collegiate level, and study Education, because I like kids and want to help them learn. I have been told that I am very coachable, and a team player, and I strive to show kindness to others, and uplift fellow teammates on and off the field.
