Personal Statement

I LOVE soccer! I am a flexible player and play in any position my coach needs me to play in for our team to be at their strongest, including center back, striker, and attacking midfielder. It would be an incredible opportunity for me to continue this passion by playing soccer with a college team, and learn how to further develop my skills.

I am looking to attend a college that offers both high athletic competition and a strong academic program. Being a collegiate soccer player is something I have aspired to over the years through my dedication to club and (now) high school soccer. I look forward to the sense of family of a collegiate team, knowing that where ever I attend I am not alone and we will support each other through academic and athletic challenges. I believe that on and off the field we are a team and we work together. I have that mindset now and hope to find a college with the same mentality.

In the classroom I work hard and maintain a high GPA. Through junior high and  high school I have taken honors and AP classes and always push myself to achieve the highest grades I can achieve. The intensity of these courses is preparing me for the rigor of college courses with high expectations of my skills, collaborative skills in my learning, and problem solving through various independent learning. I am disciplined and determined in both my studies and my athletics.
