Personal Statement
I have been a goalkeeper since the age of three. My position demands leadership, a highly refined skill set, focused determination, and the agility of mind and body. The split-second decisions I am required to make on the field can directly affect the outcome of the game. The skills I have refined come from my years of training, continual learning and listening, commitment to my team and our collective goals, and ultimately, ability. I am a team player and I strive to be the very best in every goal I set for myself, whether soccer-related, academically or personally.
I am a leader. I consistently aim to inspire and to hold my fellow teammates accountable. My agility and quickness give me advantages against my opponents. My years of repetitious training with the ball, using my feet and hands, has develop into a refined, second nature skill set.
With my experience on a multitude of different club teams and with different coaches, I have learned to adapt not only to the challenges of the game, but to the challenges of working with different coaching styles. Getting thrown into new environments has taught me how to listen and interpret different expectations all while upholding my own high standards of play.
I love playing soccer. I truly enjoy being part of a team; I love the comradery, the shared experiences, the shared goals and the shared growth. I desire and continually strive to be the very best version of myself. My duties and responsibilities hold the same importance to me both on and off the field.
