Courtney Freeman '17 Recruiting Profile

     My mother and father met in college and have played soccer at the collegiate level. They introduced the game to me at such an early age that when I was just 9 years old, I started to play competitively. My father was my first coach and has been a part of my soccer life since. He continues to coach me and brings a wealth of knowledge to the game. He has molded me into the player that I am today.

As a player; I work hard, am focused, and give my full athletic capability. My strengths that I bring to the game of soccer is; excellent timing and positioning, excellent ball handling skills, and quickness. My main threat is my speed. I play year round soccer and I am very competitive in nature. I have been a starter for my club team as an outside midfielder and through the years have helped lead the team to be the success that we are today. I am also a rostered Varsity soccer player for my high school since sophomore year and have been a starter since then.

Academically, l work hard in school and have maintained excellent grades. For the past 3 years in high school, I have been able to maintain a 4.0 GPA while doing extracurricular activities. I have always been taught that academics come first and that is what I believe has molded me to become an all-around student-athlete. Now I just want to take it to the next level.

My goal is to attend a four year University where I can play soccer at the collegiate level in a highly competitive program and as well, strive academically!
