McKenna Lamb '16 Recruiting Profile

My aspiration is to not only play at the highest level that my skill set allows, but to enhance my skill, technique, and style through a college program that fits both my academic and athletic desires. I have been trained by some of the most highly regarded coaches in Southern California, and continue to challenge myself to make that one touch sharper, that one step quicker, that one shot placed perfectly. I am human, and therefore, I do falter at times. However my flawless determination and internal drive never allow me to wallow in my own short comings. Instead I brush off the scrapes and bruises and try again, and again, and again, and again, until it comes as a second nature, and I never make that mistake again. 

For the more scholarly side of my life, I study at the number three academic school in the nation, topped only by Exeder and Georgetown (both of which are all boys academies). The challenging courses provided have developed me into a well rounded scholar and student. The diverse cultures of my current school also sets me apart by expanding my worldly knowledge through everyday interaction in a cultural melting pot.

Other students may have the skill, they may have the grades, they may have an astounding understanding of the college process, however I am blessed with something better. I encompass the perfect balance between academic scholar, and thriving athlete. I possess the mental ability to make difficult decisions on and off the pitch. I understand what it means to live with honor and trust, whether it be on a soccer pitch or in a community. In simple terms, I am what you are looking for.
