Emily Martin '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Emily Martin and I am a senior at Eleanor Roosevelt High School.  I have played for Empire Soccer DPL/NPL since the spring of 2022.  I have played soccer since the age of four and have been committed to club teams for the last six years.  I have always known that I wanted to play collegiate soccer. Playing soccer is an important part of who I am. I enjoy playing and being part of a team. On the field I am focused and can anticipate the ball movement. I've been acknowledged for my technical skills and work ethic to get the ball forward to support attacks, as well as recovering and defending with patience and control in the center back position. I find opportunities to assist my fellow teammates and I'm always learning to improve myself and my game in order to contribute to my team's success. This year I was also fortunate to be on the inaugural Flag Football team for my High School.  I was able to transfer the skills from soccer to the offense and defense in Flag Football!
