I want to become a Pediatrician and play collegiate soccer at the highest level possible. I know that these aspirations are lofty goals, but given my performance as a student athlete at the highly competitive La Jolla High School, I have proven that I am up for the challenge. I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old. It is my passion and a way to demonstrate my athleticism, grit, and determination. I am always up for a challenge, and as most great athletes, I am extremely competitive! I respect NCAA Coaches who feel that anything less than a Championship is a failure, because I feel the same way!
I am a strong candidate, because my work ethic is second to none. I put in the time and balance my academics, as all student-athletes should, and I excel at both. I am taking 3 A.P. classes this year while playing on my Club Soccer Team, the La Jolla Impact. I differentiate myself from the rest of the crowd by being a leader on my team. I set an example through action more than words, because talk is cheap, especially in sports. Coaches and fans want results, and that is what I bring to the table. I have won League Championships at every major level in my soccer career, and I enjoy being a role model for younger girls who look up to me. Disciplinary issues will NEVER be a problem with me, because I know that having good character is one of the most important attributes for a student-athlete at the NCAA level. The only thing that my future Coach will need to be concerned about is reigning in my unbridled tenacity on the field.
