I am a goalkeeper. I have played soccer since I was 5 years old and was asked at age 8 if I would like to play in goal. From that moment, I have not wanted to play another position on the field as I found out the goal is my house and nobody is welcome. I have always loved soccer and pestered my mom every season when does the soccer season start again? I am a dedicated and hard working student athlete. I had always wanted to play high school soccer and I was fortunate enough to start in goal on JV my freshman year, it has inspired me to set to high goals for myself not only in high school but after as well. My goal during high school is to maintain above a 3.5 GPA, work hard and to get a spot on varsity. My goal after high school is to attend a college where I can play Division One soccer. I love to train, I am always up for one extra training even on my winter, spring, or summer breaks. I am constantly setting goals to improve my skills as a goalkeeper- training with my team, training with a goalkeeping coach and training to improve my footwork skills. This makes me unique at my age and helps to make me stand out in the game- my soccer knowledge helps me effectively direct my team on the field and lets me play as a sweeper keeper, being that 11th player on the field.
My parents took me on my first camping trip at 6 months old- they taught me to love nature and spending time outside makes me very happy. I also enjoy photography, spending time with friends and volunteering helping to teach children how to play soccer. I plan to continue to work hard and train hard to earn my spot. I would be a valuable part of any team as I am a smart and fearless player.
