UPDATE: I broke my foot unfortunately this season and was out for most of the season. I’ve decided to play for two years at a local community college and will be looking to transfer after two years and play for four years. I feel this will be a great opportunity to play college soccer for a longer time and get to the level I would like to be at.
Hello from Sunny Southern California!
My name is Alison Lambert, and I am a Junior at Rancho Buena Vista HS. I recently relocated from Northern, CA, where I played for three years on the Placer United ECNL team. Our team competed with and played against the top ECNL teams nationwide. In 2023, I moved to Carlsbad, CA in Southern California, and am now playing for the Carlsbad CitySC Girls Academy team. I have experience playing top-level soccer for both ECNL and GA. I am grateful for the experience of playing for two amazing clubs. I feel they are exceptional programs and have taught me so much and helped me grow tremendously as a player.
I have a starting position on my Varsity soccer team at Rancho Buena Vista High School. This year we won CIF and I was the leading goal scorer on the team.
I am a highly versatile player and can transition between the forward and midfield positions depending on my team's needs. I have excellent defensive skills when placed in the mid position but due to team needs, I have been mostly playing the 9 position. I put my team first and believe in having a strong work ethic. My coaches comment often that I have a high work rate and one of the strongest work ethics they have coached. Having a strong work ethic is something I'm very proud of as I believe it is something that I bring to my approach in all aspects of my life. It's important to me to give 100% and have heart in everything I do. I am also known for my toughness on the pitch. I believe my background in martial arts has contributed to this and made me an exceptionally tough player in addition to teaching me discipline and a competitive mindset. My soccer coaches joke that I can run through a brick wall and I have earned my nickname on the team as "the Viking".
My goal is to play college soccer while pursuing a degree in biology. Biology is a fascinating subject and I would love to be able to make an impact in world through my knowledge of science.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me! Ali
