My name is Mia Alvarez, I am 17 years old and am a current senior at Madera High School. I am a four-year starter on varsity as an attacking midfielder. In my three years of varsity soccer I have been apart of the 2015 team that won league, I was selected to play in the Central Valley All-Star Game, selected as First Team All-League, awarded the golden boot for our 2016-2017 season, and I also received a leadership an award from our head varsity coach. Outside of high school I was selected as MVP for our very own Madera Tribune Newspaper, selected to be on the traveling team for Califrnoia North’s 00 ODP Team, and I also participated in Mexico’s Junior Olympics, and won the gold! It’s been a dream of mine to further my education and soccer career in college. I aspire to major in Kinesiology and Physical Therapy. Throughout high school I have maintained a GPA of 3.7 and have put in the extra time outside of practice to better my athletic abilities. As a possible candidate for your soccer team, I view myself as a committed and hardworking student athlete.
