Maren Jones '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches! My name is Maren Jones. I graduate in 2024 and attend Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley, CA. I am 5'6". I play soccer for Marin FC ECNL BLUE as an attacking center mid primarily, but I also play forward. I participated in PDP from 2016 - 2020, and have recently started back up again in 2022. I would love to play soccer in college and further my academic studies. I have a 4.57 GPA and currently take one honors class and 3 AP classes. One interesting fact about me is that I grew up playing co-ed ice hockey in addition to soccer and basketball; however, soccer has always been my true passion. Playing multiple sports in the past has taught me how to thrive in a team environment. I am a natural leader, love competing, am the 'go-to' player in high-pressure games, and I always want to be the hardest worker on and off the field. Many of my coaches would say that my strongest assets are my technical skills, ability to read the game, and communication with teammates on the field.  I believe that my ability as a soccer player would be an added benefit to any soccer program and that I would be a valuable asset.
