I’ve had a soccer ball for as long as I can remember. Whether it was kicking it around as a toddler or playing on my school team, I’ve always loved the sport. As my love and commitment has grown, so has my desire to improve myself and my skills. Making the ‘A’ team at my elementary school only encouraged me more. As I stayed motivated and worked hard, I began to play with girls who were up to 2 years older, later moving to play at a higher level team, and then moving to an ECNL RL team with consistent visibility and exposure to the ECNL level. These triumphs have only continued to invigorate me, giving me a glimpse into the next level and showing me all the hard work that is still left for me to do. I pride on my work ethic, discipline, and passion, 3 values which are also applicable to my academics. In the classroom, I always give it my all, and find that my interest in learning helps me perform well, maintaining good grades in challenging classes. This has helped me keep straight A’s through middle school and high school while teaching me valuable lessons about time management. Combined, I believe that these qualities make me a good candidate to play college soccer at an academically and athletically rigorous school. Thank you for your time.
