My name is Jessica Gardner I am a Goalkeeper from Costa Mesa, CA in the 2021 class. I have started on the Newport Harbor High School varsity team for 2 years and earned 2nd team all league last season. I play club soccer for Slammers FC and I alternate between the ECNL league, ECRL league, and Flight One league. I also have a 4.0 GPA.
I am looking for a school where I can focus on my skills and work on the soccer pitch, as well as being able to complete and learn from my school work. As well as a successful soccer career, I would like to attend an institution that offers an outstanding academic reputation in the fields of culinary arts or biology. My ideal athletic environment would be one where I would be able to use my skills to their advantage, and positively impact the team. I believe I can play wherever my heart desires, as long as the academic and athletic opportunities are high and help be become a better player and build me for my future after college.

- Later in the season, I was moved up to play with the U18 ECNL Composite team, who is filled with players a year older than me. I traveled to Las Vegas and Arizona with them to play in college showcases as well.
- 2018 Strikers FC (Flight 1)
- In 2018, I joined a team that traveled to Austria to compete in the Cordial Cup. I was also named captain of that team, and voted MVP, as a field player.

- 5 years
- Every week I would train, often one on one, with my first goalkeeper coach, Jhovanny Hernandez. Now I currently train 5-6 times a week with my club team, and 1-2 of those days will be strict and productive goalkeeper training.

- Every other day during the off season, I will train with my high school teammates. And during the school season, we train every single day of the week, and even train during school breaks or holidays to better our performance as a cohesive team.

- ActivitiesI am the chapter co-president for an organization called FCCLA, which is run through my school’s culinary program. We help our community by partaking in community service and we also have competitions that are involved with different subject matters in the culinary world.
