Personal Statement
I grew up with soccer from a young age, always cheering on the Colombian national team from my grandparents living room. Even though I was always surrounded by soccer, luckily I wasn't forced to play the sport. Instead, I found my passion for soccer all on my own, pleading to my parents to let me play on an actual team instead of participating in the community games. I showed them how much I wanted to be apart of a team by learning to practice on my own and pushing myself to do better. Spending hours in my garage, my parents saw my potential and granted my wish of putting me on a real soccer team. From there on, it has been a rocky climb to the top, but my devotion and passion has grown even more as I see women's soccer develop into a demanding sport in the world. All I search for now is the opportunity to reach my next milestone of college soccer where I can showcase my skills and leave my heart on the field.
