I've been playing soccer for about half my life, and I hope to continue to for as long as I can. I remember my first soccer practice - I was playing with a YMCA team and my mom had to force me to step out onto that field. I'm so glad I did. I started out not wanting to play at all, to becoming eager to make my game better. I can't imagine my life without soccer. I have played with my local club team (North Park Matrix) for three plus years now. Something that I’m proud of is my work ethic. I'm a very hard worker, and I’m eager to learn; I started as an alternate on my club team, and then became part of the core group. I value playing time more than competing at the highest level, although I always want to grow.
I have gotten good grades all of my school career, and not because it’s what my parents want; I’m very detail orientated and I put in lots of effort because that’s who I am. I'm looking for a school that has degrees related to astronomy; I want to become a scientist within that field and then become an astronaut.
I have a mostly introverted personality, but throughout my first year of high school my confidence has grown on the soccer field and at school. I understand that to be a successful team we need to be connected, and not just through soccer. This is sometimes hard for me, but I consider everyone on my club team my friend. I am excited to grow personally and form lifelong friendships on my future college team!
