Nathalie Staiger '11 Recruiting Profile

Height: 5'4" Weight: 130 pounds. Quick sprinter. Right footed but strong left foot for crossing, chipping, clearing... I have played soccer for ten years, seven of which have been on the competitive club level. I play outside midfield (right or left), defense (anywhere in the back), and have just this season started playing forward, as well. For example, if a teammate up top needs a break or gets hurt and my coach only has defenders or midfielders on the bench, he'll move me from where ever I am and have me fill in up top while he subs in a defender or midfielder. You'll always hear me talking on the field, be it encouraging a teammate, yelling "man on", or discussing ideas for a strategic game play. I do not quit, even in scorching heat, heavy rain, or while suffering a heavy loss. I work hard for my teammates from when my cleats set foot on the field to the final whistle, no matter the circumstances. Education is very important to me. I want to get a challenging education, not too challenging that it would overwhelm me, but challenging enough to keep me mentally on my toes. I am open to any division level. I just want to play soccer. I am very open to Jesuit/Christian/Wesleyan... but equally to pretty much any schools. I have a very active and creative mind and would enjoy to pursue a career where I can continue to design and draw. I also find Biology, Medicine, and Environmental Science quite interesting. Also Architecture, graphic design. I want to play soccer and have fun with my teammates and really enjoy my athletic experience in college. I want to be a positive influence on my team and encourage my teammates to always be willing to improve their game and to have a positive attitude.
