Personal Statement

Hello my name is Shelby Funes and I am a sophomore in high school, in San Jose CA. My goals in life are to be able to play soccer at the college level and to be able to obtain my nursing degree. I have been playing soccer since I was 7 years old and it has always been a passion of mine. I have played both outdoor and indoor soccer. I have played on a variety of teams playing on multiple positions throughout the years. So far during my high school soccer career I have played on varsity as a starter both my freshman and sophomore year.  I look forward to learning new skills and techniques when playing in different positions. I am a very dedicated athlete and student.
