2011 HighlightsPersonal Statement
I’m Kiley Norkus, a forward from San Luis Obispo, California. I am a Senior, and will graduate in 2013. I’m 5 foot 8 inches tall, and weigh about 125 lbs. I have unusually quick and aggressive foot speed and excellent technical and tactical finesse. I am able to score with either foot and have a huge vertical jump which helps me score numerous headers from corner kicks. I am presently playing for the Eagles U16 (ECNL) Elite Clubs National League from Camarillo, Ca. I have been a starter on my school’s varsity team for the last two years and both years was the leading goal scorer and played a big part in leading my team to CIF each year.
I have played Club for 6 years.I am a leading goal scorer if not the leading goal scorer each year. I act as captain on and off the field. On the field, I lead my teammates by giving them information on where to present themselves off the ball, and what to do when they personally have possession of the ball. Off the field, I encourage my players to give everything they have on the field, be early to events we attend, be positive and encourage them to apply those ethics to their daily lives. I try to help guide them by living what I preach.
I show my dedication and determination by traveling 2+ hours each time I meet up with my 'home' Eagles team in Camarillo, Ca. The Eagles allow me to practice with my local Central Coast league and play in Southern California for games.
I have an enormous passion for soccer and am determined to play in college and would like to play professionally. I have been interested in this concept since I began playing soccer at the age of 11. I can academically, and athletically perform very well under any circumstances. I can make a huge, positive impact to any team I am placed on. I am interested in a school that is competitive both athletically, and academically.
