I am entering my junior year in high school while playing for Slammers FC on the G03 ECNL RL team. I started playing soccer in second grade after trying other sports, and immediately fell in love with the game.
After playing recreational soccer, I began playing club soccer with the Irvine Slammers. On my second year I had the honor of being chosen captain. I was most proud of how we improved each year until we won league in 2017. During these past years with my club coaches, soccer camps and all the extracurricular training it has given me a greater understanding of the game. The experience has pushed me mentally and physically to challenge myself to get better as a player and a person. Since my coaches have always been complimentary of my skills, the past few years I decided to move up in age group to challenge myself against more mature players. My main position is attacking midfielder, but I also play left and right midfielder.
My high school time has shown me the importance of balancing school work and athletics, as well as understanding the significance of representing your school on and off the field. I am leaning towards taking an Art History & Visual Culture major, but still want to explore other possibilities. My main goal is to be a part of an institution that encourages creative thinking while continuing to develop my skills with the guidance of college coaches.
