One of my proudest accomplishments in soccer thus far was being awarded player of the year from my previous soccer club. This award was the result of me leading the team to a winning season as captain and for being one of the leading goal scorers despite being a center back. I felt proud my hard work and level of play were acknowledged. Prior to this team, I developed as a strong defensive player from being on teams where most of the games were played in my eighteen. The pressure that comes with being the center back and team captain in these types of game situations has taught me leadership, patience, and perseverance. Overall, these attributes have helped me with managing my time, so that I can be successful on and off the pitch.
I have a natural drive to succeed in soccer, school, and in other aspects of my life. With regards to soccer, this drive comes from my sense of accomplishment after stealing the ball from the other team, from sending a perfect long ball to my forwards, and from moments of creative and physical play. I want to represent my future college both academically and athletically with this drive to be the best person I can be.
