Ava Seelenfreund '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ava Seelenfreund and since I can remember I have had a dream to play soccer in college and beyond. I am 14 years old and I love sports. My desire to play at the highest level possible guides me to work and play hard. If it is in the classroom or on the field I am positive, helpful, and hardworking.

I have been playing soccer for eight years. I am a freshman at Truckee High School and I start on the varsity soccer team. My high school plays fall soccer and my 2015 high school soccer season I was selected as a forward to first team all league and second team all state in the NIAA division 1A soccer. From third to eighth grade I played for Barcelona NorCal and now I play for San Juan Soccer Club. As an 01 player I made Nevada ODP a year early onto the 00 age group team and have played on Nevada ODP each year since.

I am an exceptional student athlete and a perfect candidate for your team. My competitive drive is so strong I try my hardest at everything to be one of the best. I played basketball all three years for my middle school basketball team and was awarded MVP each year. I am currently ranked 8th nationally for big mountain skiing.  Also in 8th grade I played a season of boys lacrosse being the only girl in the entire club. I think it is important to be well rounded and I find many benefits in cross training with different sports.

Academics are very important to me so I work hard in the classroom maintaining straight A's throughout my academic career to date. At 8th grade graduation I received the exceptional athlete award. My favorite subjects are science and math. I love tinkering and constructing creations of my own so that may lead to an engineering path.

My goal is to go to a great academic school and play soccer soccer at the highest level.
