Soccer has been a huge influence on my life ever since I started playing at five years old. The experiences and valuable lessons I’ve learned along the way have made me into the player I am today. One memory in particular that stands out is the time I had a Vail tournament and in the semi-finals our goalie got a concussion. Since we didn't have a backup goalie, I volunteered to play goalie in the finals. We ended up going into overtime, and then penalty kicks. In the end, we won the tournament. That tournament taught me to always look out for my teammates, exercise versatility and play where the team needs me to be.
I am confident that I will be a valuable asset to the team I am on by working with others and being a good leader. I push myself and my teammates to always put in 100% effort and be the best athletes we can be. Soccer has taught me discipline but it’s always been a fun experience. I welcome the challenge of tough competition and I’m excited to see what the game brings for me next.
