Sidney Weigel ‘23 Recruiting Profile

Personal Statement

My name is Sidney Weigel and I am a center back for Colorado Rush 05 GA. I have played for rush ever since I was 3 years old. I am a defender that tackles hard, is fearless and very aggressive. I am also a center defender that reads and understands the game very well. I am a student athlete interested in playing college soccer at the highest level possible! I value my education and school work as well. I've held a consistent GPA of a 4.1 throughout my high school years, and plan on majoring in nursing. 

I have a very strong passion for the game, as I love playing with my teammates and love to play as a team. I am very dedicated to the sport and I am a very hard worker when it comes to something that I love. My teams successes in the past 1-2 years have been Colorado State Champions, Quarter National Finalists in the GA playoffs, and Frontier GA Champions. This year we are ranked #16 in the Nation combined with ECNL and GA teams, as well as Colorado Rush being ranked #22 best club in the Nation. My team just recently won our champions league group, and are currently first place in the Mountain West Division. I am a 95% starter and I get 95% playing time on my team. Overall, I have a very big passion for the sport of soccer and hope to find the college that's the best fit for me and my future.
